When holding the cane upright, it is the upper button on the right side and has a round shape.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Turn On\/Off Obstacle Detection<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Press and hold the obstacle detection button to turn the feature on or off.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Change Detection Range<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 When obstacle detection is on, press the same button briefly to cycle through\u00a0<strong>Short, Mid, and Far<\/strong>\u00a0detection levels.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using the&nbsp;WeWALK&nbsp;App<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your&nbsp;WeWALK&nbsp;Smart Cane 2 and&nbsp;WeWALK&nbsp;app are up to date, you can also control obstacle detection via the app:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect your Smart Cane 2 via the\u00a0<strong>Smart Cane<\/strong>\u00a0tab\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>\u201cDevice Preferences\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>\u201cObstacle Detection Preferences\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set detection mode to\u00a0<strong>Off, Short, Mid, or Far<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Customize feedback options:\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Turn\u00a0<strong>sound<\/strong>\u00a0on or off\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn\u00a0<strong>vibration<\/strong>\u00a0on or off\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable both for combined\u00a0<strong>audio and haptic feedback<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional\u00a0options:\u00a0\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enable\u00a0<strong>continuous vibration<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn on the\u00a0<strong>flashlight when an obstacle is detected<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You can turn obstacle detection on or off either directly on your Smart Cane or through the&nbsp;WeWALK&nbsp;app.&nbsp; Using the Smart Cane&nbsp;2&nbsp; The Obstacle Detection Button is\u00a0located\u00a0on the side of the cane handle, between the\u00a0Calibration\u00a0and the USB-C charging port.
