Why is My Obstacle Detection Not Working?

If the Obstacle Detection feature on your WeWALK smart cane is not working effectively, please try the following steps:

  • Ensure the Obstacle Detection Sensor is facing forward and not blocked by your hand.
  • Make sure there are no objects within 20 cm of the sensor and its housing.
  • If the sensor is dirty, gently wipe it with a damp cloth.

If the obstacle detection is not working after the cane has been exposed to rain or liquid, place it with the sensor port facing downward for 24 hours before checking if all functions are working properly.
