The Smart Cane 2 has an IP44 rating, which means it is resistant to dust and light rain splashes. You can safely use it in light rain and mildly dusty conditions, but it is not fully waterproof, so please avoid submerging it in water or using it in heavy rainstorms.
If your cane does get wet:
- Dry the outside of the cane as soon as possible, especially around the Type-C charging port and the sensor area.
- Do not charge the cane while the charging port is still damp.
- Place the cane at room temperature with the sensor facing downward and leave it for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, turn the cane on and check whether all functions, including obstacle detection and vibration, work properly.
