While WeWALK’s obstacle detection is effective at detecting many obstacles, it cannot detect drops at ground level, such as stairs, curbs, and holes. Therefore, it’s important to maintain good traditional cane skills when using WeWALK to navigate such obstacles. Additionally, WeWALK may not detect soft fabrics or small obstacles at the limit of its range setting. It works best with hard surfaces, as these provide a stronger sensitivity to obstacle detection.
